Coaching Process - What You Can Expect
➡️ Start with a free call - We discuss your goals and whether the coaching is the right fit.
➡️ Weekly coaching sessions - After onboarding, we schedule a 1 hour video call each week for 1 on 1 coaching with your teen. Parents are very welcome to attend and often sit in for the first few weeks. The coaching content, frameworks and tools are shared on screen during each session.
➡️ Engagement from the start - Each coaching session is a real conversation, not a script. We move at a comfortable pace and slowly work through current routines, challenges, habits, strengths, and goals. Practical skills and strategies are introduced in a way that makes sense so they stick.
➡️ Tailored coaching, not cookie cutter content - We build confidence through action, break problems into small steps, tackle procrastination, create simple study systems, and develop planning and time management skills. Everything is shaped around your teen’s personality, pace, and their feedback.
➡️ A personal Notion workbook - After each session, I add a new page to an online workbook which summarises what we’ve covered. It becomes a space for your teen to reflect, track progress, and build a toolkit they can return to anytime.
➡️ Tools they can use immediately - Every week your teen gains something practical they can apply straight away - making their lives less foggy, more purposeful, and more self-led.

Each week includes a 1 hour (min) core coaching session, which covers the essential coaching content. Beyond that, students can choose how deeply they engage with the Simple Honours workbook, mindset tools, challenges and weekly reflection prompts. These resources are designed to amplify results - but participation is flexible and student-led. The more your teen leans in, the more they unlock clarity, confidence, and momentum throughout the programme.

Absolutely. We understand every student has a unique schedule, so coaching times are designed to be flexible and accommodating. We offer weekend sessions, as well as options before or after school, depending on what works best for your teen. Together, we find a time that supports focus, consistency, and real progress - without adding extra stress to their week.

No. While academic success is a core goal, this is coaching - not tutoring. We focus on mindset, study skills, habits, strategy, and emotional growth - not just content delivery.

Yes! While students lead their own journey, we’re happy to also provide parents with check-in summaries and tips for supporting progress at home. This is a strategic partnership.

The course runs primarily through Notion and video calls, so access to a laptop or tablet is ideal. Plus a cell phone for WhatsApp if you would like additional check-ins.

While most of our experience is with students from New Zealand and Australia, the Study Reboot programme is not tied to any one curriculum. Instead of subject tutoring, we focus on universal learning strategies, high-performance study habits, and mindset coaching that support success across all subjects - and well beyond the classroom. The frameworks are designed to help teens thrive in school and in life, building confidence, independence, and long-term growth.
